TIPE 2022 – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Additive Manufacturing
We are incredibly proud that our Global Head of Marketing for 3D Printing, Cindy Deekitwong, was a speaker for this year’s TIPE 3D Printing by Women in 3D Printing conference! Cindy discussed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the 3D Printing industry with Sarah Goehrke and Venus Piñeyro.
Key Takeaways:
💡 Fundamental shift of mindset … Diversity isn’t about something being wrong, but about work being done… it’s not broken, it’s just not finished yet.
💡 Frosting an inclusive climate, facilitating a psychologically safe environment for employees & teammates – we all play an important role, let’s continue #Walkingthetalk
💡 Institute of “No” interruption rule, allow people to share their opinion and bring their best self to workplace!
💡 “Learning from others” by sharing personal stories and focusing on different perspectives from employees.
💡 Collaboration – we can go fast & go far together!
Diversity of workplace, allows people to be people, us to be us. We are valued because we can voice our thoughts and BRING OUR BEST SELF TO WORK.
Additive manufacturing 3D printing creates objects layer by layer, it is the same way as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion should also be layered into business practices to catalyze innovation. This can only be done by building an environment that embraces differences, a safe place for employees to speak up and empowers them to more engaged.
