Production Without Limits: Bridging Injection Molding and 3D Printing
Introduction
Producing functional parts isn’t just about choosing a manufacturing method — it’s about matching the method to the need. In this project, Interroll® required a plastic housing component where production volumes varied significantly. At some stages only a small batch was needed, while at others, demand climbed much higher. Instead of relying on one process alone, both injection molding and 3D printing were used to keep supply steady, costs reasonable, and quality consistent.
Application: Plastic Housing Component
Material: Loctite 3D IND6845
